INVESTMENT STRATEGIES The key financial objective is to provide Unitholders with long-term and sustainable distribution of income and potential capital growth. Specifically, the aim is to seek the increase of cash flow, income and the value of CMMT’s properties and consequently, continued growth through the following strategies: INTEGRATED RETAIL AND CAPITAL MANAGEMENT PLATFORMS CMMT enjoys access to CapitaLand’s unique integrated retail real estate platform, combining the best of retail real estate management and capital management capabilities. VALUE CREATION INVESTMENT OBJECTIVE The principal investment objective of CMMT is to invest, on a long-term basis, in a portfolio of income-producing real estate primarily used for retail purposes and located primarily in Malaysia or such other non-real estate investments as may be permitted under the Deed 1 , the REITs Guidelines 2 and/or by the Securities Commission Malaysia, with a view to providing Unitholders with long-term and sustainable distribution of income and potential capital growth. The Manager believes that CMMT has achieved its investment objective for the financial year ended 31 December 2020. Future Prospects of the Market The Manager views the Malaysian retail sector to be resilient in the long term and will continue to pursue the abovementioned investment strategies.
