(We refer to the announcements dated 18 May 2021 and 20 May 2021 (“Announcements”) and the circular to the unitholders of CMMT dated 21 May 2021 (“Circular”). Unless otherwise stated, the definitions set out in the Circular shall apply herein.)

Reference is made to the Notice of EGM of CMMT dated 21 May 2021 and the announcement by the Government of Malaysia on 28 May 2021 with regard to the National Total Lockdown from 1 June 2021 to 14 June 2021.

Pursuant to the implementation of the National Total Lockdown, the Securities Commission Malaysia had on 1 June 2021 revised the Guidance Note and FAQs on the conduct of General Meetings for Listed Issuers (which was originally issued on 18 April 2020) (“the Revised Guidance Note and FAQ”). The Revised Guidance Note and FAQ states that listed issuers are only allowed to conduct fully virtual general meetings during the total lockdown. In a fully virtual general meeting, all meeting participants including the Chairperson of the meeting, Board members, senior management and shareholders are required to participate in the meeting online. Physical gatherings no matter how small are prohibited.

According to the Revised Guidance Note and FAQ, an online meeting platform can be recognised as the meeting venue or place as long as the online platform is located in Malaysia. This is in line with Paragraph 1B of Schedule 1 of the Fourth ARTD where the Manager is permitted to leverage technology to conduct the general meetings in the form of Virtual Meeting or Hybrid Meeting and in doing so, the Manager should ensure that, amongst others, the main venue of the meeting is in Malaysia and the Chairman of the meeting shall be at the main venue.

The Board, having given due consideration to the above, wishes to inform that the Broadcast Venue of the EGM of CMMT shall be changed from 12th Floor, Menara Symphony, No. 5, Jalan Prof. Khoo Kay Kim, Seksyen 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia to the online portal of Boardroom at https://web.lumiagm.com.

Apart from the change in the Broadcast Venue, all information in the Notice of EGM of CMMT dated 21 May 2021 and the Administrative Details to the EGM published on 21 May 2021 remain unchanged.
