CapitaLand Malaysia REIT Management Sdn. Bhd. (“CMRM” or the “Company”), as manager of CapitaLand Malaysia Trust, wishes to announce the appointment of Dato’ Ng Tiong Lip (also known as Dato’ Jeffrey Ng) as a Non-Executive Independent Director of CMRM with effect from 1 October 2023.
Dato’ Jeffrey Ng has more than 38 years of extensive experience in finance, corporate planning and executive management in the property and hotel industry in both Malaysia and Australia.
Dato’ Jeffrey Ng is currently the Chairman of the Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (REHDA) Institute. He is also an Adviser of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association (MRMA), a panel member of the Appeal Board under the Federal Territory (Planning) Act 1982 and a Member of the Board of Studies-Master of Real Estate Development University Tunku Abdul Rahman.
In 2003, Dato’ Jeffrey Ng was accorded Entrepreneur of the Year by Malaysian Australia Business Council. In 2009, he was conferred the patron of REHDA and was awarded REHDA Personality of the Year 2015 for his contribution to the real estate industry. In 2018, he was awarded The Asset Corporate Award, Best CEO – Property.
Following the aforesaid appointment, the Board of Directors will comprise the following members with effect from 1 October 2023:
